I first saw Chucky at 8 years old and it REALLY messed with my dreams for years to come - even in high school! What scared me was that my mother kept tons of dolls (antique, stuffed, you name it) and I would have dreams about them coming to life and walking down the hall towards me with a knife. When we went to the video store, I literally covered my eyes when I walked past the boxes of Child's Plays 1-3 so I wouldn't have to see him! lol I am now 22 years old and its only in the last 2 or 3 years that I could sit and watch a Child's Play movie by myself in a dark room and not be scared - it's really so laughable now, and always was, but ugh my mom had some freaky looking dolls for sure!
It's funny how deep-seated childhood fears can be!

I've never watched Chucky so am familiar with him only from trailers and commercials. As a general rule I don't watch horror of any kind because I don't find the feelings I have entertaining.
I don't like the idea of a doll that is animated and evil, or the idea of any doll that comes alive. I once had a friend who made dolls in the huge loft of her home which also served as a guest room. There were twenty to thirty dolls up there at any time, their faces and hands and feet were made from polymer and they did have a rather benign 'chucky' look to them. I"d have to turn them all to the wall or put them in a big pile so I could sleep when I spend the night up there, and they still creeped me out.

Seed Of Chucky is not supposed to be all that scary because it's not meant to be because it is an old movie.

He doesn't scare me because i think of it this way, hes just a doll in a movie, well he might be a murderous doll and all but its all fantasy. There is appsolutely no way a doll could come to life today or anytime soon and start killing innocent people. Its illogical. Just tell yourself that its just a movie, that could even be based on a true story. Its just hollywood's version of a "horror flick" but theres no horror in it. Tell your self how fake the character chucky seems when he talks and walks and like acts, you shouldn't be scared if you do that. I had this same problem with my 4 year old sister but shes over it.

ew- so he's the scariest thing to me.
i've had nightmares about him.
mostly because he's a doll.
because when i was little i was always afraid that the dolls would come alive.
so when i saw that and not only did he come alive but he killed people- that's why he scares me.
and also because he never dies.
