i-95 is a straight shot, so hook up to it from wherever your starting out from. a cooler, drinks, sun glasses, layer your clothes so you can lose some on the way down and learn how to say mam and sir ALOT, you'll be fine from there.

I agree with the person above - I-95 pretty much all the way. You might want to take the Garden State Parkway/NJ Turnpike, depending on where you're starting in NY. I-95 goes along the east coast of Florida, so if you're going somewhere else you may want/need to get off I-95 somewhere in the carolinas.

There will be tolls no matter which way you go, so bring some cash. There are plenty of rest areas along the way, some with fast-food restaurants, some with only picnic benches.

The radio stations become few and far between down south, unless you like country. So depending on how picky you are, you may want to bring lots of tapes/CDs.

i live in philadelphia and i went to miami this summer driving the whole way. i took i-95, thats the best way probably. i brought a BIG cooler in the trunk with sodas, water, sandwiches, chips and things like that. bring only the clothes you know you'll wear to save some space.if ur going now, then consider the weather their having now.tip: bring music to pass time.
P.S.: trust me,u will stop many times for the bathroom.....

I-95 straight down - but if you want to take it easy - pick up the auto-train - as in AMTRAK in VA and it will take you down to the Orlando area. Nice ride - not expensive.
