Get a Lawyer and take it to court. This is the expensive and simple way. A little less expensive is to go to your local "Legal Aide", they will go by your wages on what and how much to charge. Or, you can pick up a "Divorce Packet" and do all the leg work yourself.

In most of the United States, divorce proceedings can be started on the grounds of abandonment, if the spouse has left the marriage for more than a year. If the spouse has kept in contact, this may serve as the separation period, which can speed up the divorce. However, if there are children in the marriage, you may have to sort out child custody and visitation issues. If you have had the children for fifteen months, and your wife has made no effort to contact or care for them, you may file for sole custody, based on the fact of abandonment. However, if she has the child or children--and you have made no effort to support or contact the children--she can file for sole custody of the children, for said abandonment. Child support also has to be taken into consideration. In most states, if the father has been the sole caregiver, many judges are now awarding sole custody to the father. However, if the mother has been the sole caregiver, you may have to pay child support, including any that is owed during the fifteen month period. It is also suggested that you go into divorce mediation, regarding any additional assets that were brought into the marriage. Good luck and God bless.

My sister went through this same situation. She got a lawyer and run a ad in the paper for 30 days and then went to court and the judge give her the divorce. But might not be that simple if you have children? Divorce cost alot but a lawyer will usually give you a free first visit. Good luck!

See a lawyer. You can usually get a 15 minute question / answer session for $100. Then you can follow that lawyer's instructions and file your own papers.
