in the "song of solomon",she states: "i am black but comely ,o ye daughters of jerusalem>"comely is an old english word ,meaning beautiful.however,in old english, dark haired, olive skinned brunettes were also referred to as "black",so sheba was either african,or a very dark-skinned semitic or arabic girl.( i am using the king james bible ,my favorite,as reference, hence the old english words.)
