I'm going out on Friday night, and I will be wearing a dress.. The problem is that I have a quite large bruise on my leg and it won't go away! I'm not gonna not go out, but I don't want anyone to see the bruise, as it is quite an eyesore! It's black/blue in colour. Any tips on how to get rid of the bruise quickly, or how to cover it up?

Get yourself an "under eye" concealer. You can get them in a yellow color (as opposed to flesh tone). These work well for under your eyes because the dark circles there tend to look "purplish" color, resembling the color of bruising. Yellow works well to hide these icky purple/blackish colors.

I have a yellow concealer made by Clinique. When I first saw it, I thought "gross" but since yellow and purple are contrasting colors, the yellow fades it away and you can't tell it's being worn. Flesh colored make-up doesn't do this. It would probably work well to cover up bruising.

Put witch hazel on it a few times a day. I don't know how it works, but my mother used to use this on my sister and me when we were children and it seemed to make a difference. If it's still not gone, use some of the same cover up that you use on your face to cover it, and if it's still too visible for your liking, wear boots that cover it or solid color tights or stockings.

My best friend told me to use toothpaste. Rub it into the bruise (apparently it helps break down the coloring or something.) I tried it on hickies (which I guess is close) and it worked (after a while of massaging etc).

Good luck, though!

You can sit and rub the leg constantly when you aren't doing anything. This will help the trapped blood quickly be absorbed back into the body. Sometime it helps to rub it with an ice pack.

you could try using either liquid or thick powder coverup to try and make it seem less noticable. I did this once for a scar on my leg and it worked pretty well.
