When it says you have to "Complete YOur pokedex" Does that mean catch all pokemon or just see them all so they are recorded in the dex? Thanks.

As long as you see a Pokemon it's image and name is recorded in your pokedex as well as its location. In order to get the info, its height etc. you'll need to catch it.

it means u need to have or have had them all at some point, it doesn't matter how u get them.
you really only need the first 200 hoenn pokemon and it will count it as completed on Emerald
However, getting all 386 (which i have) is even cooler but takes hours of play. (it took me over almost 300 hours of play to get them all, without cheating that is)
