If on pay as you go tariff then needs top up, if on contract may be a fault with network, or with sim card, remove sim card, clean with soft dry cloth and replace. if that fails then need to contact your service provider and report problem

This sometimes happens if you are out of range of a transmitter. Try moving into a different area.
