Are Chinese people smarter than other people?

My friends say just cuz Im smart is because im chinese. Is this true. Or is it just cuz I work hard........

Don't worry, there are probably all kinds of people from all kinds of races that are smarter than you.

Chinese people have a history of being on the earth for
over 2,000 years, and have a firm grasp on how to live their lives,
especially by having a knowledge of medical herbs healthy to eat and continue the living process, most of us who live in the western hemisphere, know nothing about this end of general
medicine.
Another element they have is their cuisine, whether it be
Cantonese, Hunan, Schezuan(spelling) or wherever the
25 provinces take you as far as regional differences are concerned, they have offered the western world many different choices in food cuisine.

Now as far as being the smartest people on earth, they are smart,
but not the smartest, as they have allowed themselves to be conquered by different tribes, and have allowed chaos and anarchy to flourish along with crooked and greedy heads of state.
China has the largest population on earth, and as such has a
responsibility of ensuring health, longevity, peace and harmony,
for all its people to enjoy.
Mao-tse-Tung tried the great leap forward, the black tunics and the little red book, but his philosophies didn't carry over to the next
generation, his influences are limited, regardless of his efforts to
stifle the democratic process.

Today, China has made an economic comeback, as they are now manufacturing everything from diaper pins to power
vacuum cleaners, a DVD recorder/player to a complete speaker system, for all brands.
Textiles (all clothing) is now made in China or over 90% of
all imported orders, most orders from the United States, and
as a result China is now becoming the real economic power rather than the United States, we are in the losing zone.
And China has been continuously buying up all US debt, which
means eventually we will be controlled by the Chinese, if this
trend continues.

The Chinese make good doctors, lawyers, chefs, and other
administrators, however, as far as driving an autombile on the
highways they have a tendency toward limited peripheral
vision, because of the physiology of their eyes, which they cannot
help, its just a fact of life.

They also have a good sense of preserving family values, as
in all their households, the man of the house is in charge, and
he infuses religious gospel into his family every day, depending
on the choice of religion, which I have a high respect for.

I don't know if I have properly answered your question, or not,
but it is my opinion, and thats my message for today.

No. People are smart because they study and work for it. I hate that stupid stereotype of how Asians are naturally smart. Some people just don't seem to realize how hard some Asian people work to get to where they are now.
