I'd like to keep my rabbit in a hutch outside, but keep a cage inside for when it's very hot or very cold, any suggestions?

Rabbits that have been outside and allowed to aclimatize to weather never need to come inside. Its actually uncomfortable. If you provide the correct shelter outside the rabbit will do just fine. I made all my own cages. I made them 5 feet long and 4 feet wide (i liked lots of room) for the individual cages. With Hardware cloth. Then I fashioned Wooden Houses to attach to them. They were 2 feet by 2 feet and tall enough for them to get into. I stuffed them full of fresh straw that i changed every 2 weeks. With the pet rabbits they were all spayed and nuetered and I had a large fenced in area in my yard for them.. They roamed around totally free in that area. I had several muli roomed box houses for them to go into during winter. The only time I worried was during the very hot and extreme months, where i provided tarps for shade, and sprayed cold garden water gently over them for several times a day. I used this sights ideas for my cages,

I didnt actually buy one. Plus they are a british sight and im american so it would be pricey but these types are great for outdoor rabbit life. make sure they have lots and lots a good bedding to keep warm in wither and lots of shade and water in summer.

Make sure your hutch is protected from the wind. Then your rabbit will be fine outdoors all winter.
Summer is another story. If it gets into triple digits where you live, you need to bring your rabbit inside. Even acclimatized rabbits will die of heat stroke in hundred-degree heat, and they're pretty miserable as long as it's in the high nineties.
Hutches can be modified to keep rabbits cool in summer: using some sort of white plastic or siding, make huge eaves a few feet beyond the edge of the cage, and install water misters around the edges. Or house him in a white-roofed shed with water misters and a circulation fan. Keep a thermometer on his cage and check it during the hottest times of the day; you'll need to know exactly how cool his cage is relative to the outside temperature. If it's always three degrees cooler than outside, for example, he can still get heat stroke on a 102 degree afternoon.
As a rule of thumb, cold only kills baby rabbits. Heat kills all of them. Put the hutch somewhere shaded, and bring him inside on hot days.

o.k. my suggestion is that if you have like a little open shed or lean to you put a wire cage UP OFF THE GROUND!!! in the lean to and then have the hutch outside and if you dont have a lean to then put it inside the garage but it can't be there for long because it needs sunlight anyways and another suggestion is that u get another cage and during the day if you don't want to put it in the hutch set the cage on the ground in a grassy spot and then you will have a happy little rabbit

Unless you are in a desert climate (or Canada) there's no reason your rabbit couldn't live in an outside hutch all the time. Just protect him from sunlight (they can get sunburnt) and give him ice bottles in the summer and make sure he has a sheltered "home" inside to get out of the weather.

Hi i would keep them in their hutch al year providing you dont live in an area that is very cold, provide them with plenty of bedding (not saw dust) and shelter from the wind and they will be fine.
