I have a 75 gal. reef tank and I am having bad trouble with green bubble algae. It is spreading everywhere! I know to remove it without bursting bubbles. I know not to just do nothing because they mature and spread spores. (learned that the hard way) I hand remove all I can but on the larger live rock with corals attatched I can't just pluck it out of the water and rinse it off to remove spores. I have heard emerald crabs work , but I am afraid they might start eating my coral. Any advise on the removal of this pain would be greatly appreciated.

I used to work for an aquarium maintenance service. Unfortunately, all we could do was pick the bubble algae off. Very tedious, endless task. :(
If it helps, sometimes I would use needlenose pliers parallel to the rock, so I could scrape underneath the algae bubble and get it off. Easier than trying to pinch it with your fingers. Good luck!

got algae? get crabs! sounds like the algae is prolific enough to keep the crabs fed, if they start nibbling on your coral, remove some, but keep at least one to keep the algae under control

keep away the solar light and use some blue methylene
