I am working on a research paper for school and i would like to use some online databases like Cq researcher, or Jstor. THe problem is these sites all charge exorbent amounts that i don't want to pay since i don't think i would use it more than once or so. Is there anyway to get past this?

for college? most college university have their own data research comes with your registration to the school

try googling "free data base access" or just type in the subject yu are researching

If you are at the University level, most college libraries have access to a number of scholarly and professional research databases online.
