El Nido is very expensive, I just got back from the Philippines and loved Club Paradise in northern Palawan it's more reasonably priced. We had a cottage right on the beach too. There are other places to see as well, it's a beautiful country. I wouldn't stay in just one place. Email me if you want some more ideas...

IF YOU'RE A BEACH PERSON:
If it's pristine white beaches with roaring waves and swaying palm trees you desire to see, Boracay is already so cliche to go to and it's too crowded to be enjoyed since everyone wants to go there. Try Panglao, Bohol. It also has great beaches (but not overpopulated as compared with Boracay) and it has an exotic mysterious aura around it since it is a place rich in history and culture. You can also try Terrazas de Punta Fuego in Batangas. It's a luxurious beach resort and hotel, satisfaction guaranteed. You can also check out Caylabne Bay resort in Cavite.

FOR NON-BEACH PEOPLE:
Taal Vista Lodge in Tagaytay would be nice. It's a beautiful hotel. There are lots of things to do there from horseback riding to taking spectacular views of the Taal volcano. There's a nice mushroom restaurant close by and a zoo a little bit farther.

FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN THE BEST LUXURY HOTEL SERVICES:
Those who are interested in the most luxurious hotels the Philippines has to offer, but are willing to spend big money on it, the Manila Hotel, Manila Penninsula Hotel, Makati-Shangrila Hotel, and Inter-Continental Hotel provide the best comforts worthy enough for a memorable honeymoon. The last two of the ones mentioned above are strategically situated near the metropolitan's busiest and most popular shopping arcades.

According to word-of-mouth, all the facilities mentioned above are said to guarantee the best services in town.

HAPPY HONEYMOON!

El Nido is on the northwest coast and in the last few years seems to be the most popular destination among the travelers passing through our place in Manila. Originally it catered to only Japanese group tourists since the Japanese were the one who built the 5 Star resort and small airport. Then the Hong Kong tourists began booking trips there until there was a 6 month waiting list. Eventually about 10 years ago the locals nearby on the outskirts of the expensive resort built small native huts and cottages meant for the lower budget traveler. It's off shore rocky cliffed islands help create the scenic beauty that attracts so many people. If you have ever been to Krabi's Reilay Beach in southern Thailand then you can picture El Nido in your mind's eye. There are several dive shops which offer scuba divers excellent diving spots in the Bacuit Arhipelago.

And for my top resort/hotel choices will be Paradise Garden(http://www.paradisegardenboracay.com/ ), Flushing Meadows(http://www.flushingmeadows.com.ph/ ), Costabella Resort(http://www.costabellaresort-cebu.com/ ), Asturias Hotel(http://www.asturiashotel.ph/ ) and Dive LInk (http://www.divelink.com.ph/ )

We have been given married Augustt2005. We spent a week in SF and 3 days in Vegas. I fell in love with SF, plan to circulate returned next month. there's a lot to do. maximum of somewhat some issues for various human beings (Napa, Sonoma, Monterrey, Chinatown, Alcatraz and so on...) that's actually romantic or thoroughly touristy. reckoning on what you like. We stayed on the Mark Hopkins and the Handlery. enjoyed the Handlery (noisy downtown) the Mark Hopkins is up the Hill, great perspectives and romantic, yet somewhat stuffy.
