Do people born blind dream?

I was wondering about this question, i mean if they dream how do they know how everything looks, in other words, if they were dreaming of a dog, how do they know how a dog looks if they have never seen one before

Absolutely.

People who are blind from birth tend to dream the same way they experience being awake: through different sensations of touch and hearing.

People who have acquired blindness since birth tend to go through a mixture of this: first they see things in their dreams but as the memory of vision goes away, they begin to dream more as blind-from-birth people do.

There is an assumption that dreams must include a visual component.

I would say that blind people do dream, but the dream may or may not have visuals.

I guess a blind person is the one to ask right?

I don't know. They have dreams of course, and the dream world is created based on input they have received from their other 4 senses, but I wouldn't imagine that they can see in their dreams. I suppose random neurons firing MIGHT create visual images, but I doubt it. Try finding a blind person to ask.

I dont know. But Im sure they dream because your dreams are in your head, your imagination, everyone has one of those.

I suppose they dream about things that don't really exist but only exist in their imagination

yes they can dream but cant see their dream they can only hear whats going on

yes, they do dream, but not in the same context as we do, they say, its as if there in a hazy cloud with sounds instead of vision's as we do
