Is it 10 days or 15 days prior to the court date set that a person has to be served with papers notifying him that he has to show up on that date to face contempt of court charges. If he does not get served and therfore does not show up but the accusing party shows up, what happens?

Well if you know when you are to appear then you should appear wether you get served or not, That would be the logical thing to do unless of course you have something to hide. Then you would not have to ask this question on what would happen, if you are served you'd better show up wether its 15 days 10 days or 1 day you will be held in contempt because you knew you had to be there. Its just like taking somebody that is locked up in jail on the day he suppose to appear even if he wasn't served, with papers he will be there because,he had found out the day before he has to appear.
