He will forever be remembered as the sitting president during the 9/11 attacks and for the subsequent failure to bring to justice the mastermind of those attacks.

George W. Bush's legacy will definitely be that he lead the country into the biggest economic downturn in history. He and his gang of thieves have racked up the largest debt ever, and its mostly owed to the Chinese. Many of America's largest corporation are rushing to set up shop in China, leaving behind a lot of jobless Americans in their wake. The Bush administration has keep its hands off the economic tiller of the country for 2 full terms - an impending economic disaster is sure to follow.

He killed alot of people and he prepared America for the future. Its a good and bad thing were going to learn from his legacy in the future. Not only were be prepared for battle in the Middle East but we would have the advantage by having troops everywhere and we can control the tempo of the war.

I am not a Bush fan Passion, but if I had to pick something I would say the way he handled the days and weeks after 9/11. SW

The president that dropped the seed of hate in the Middle East. I think there is more hate towards the U.S. now than before 9/11. Just think about all those thousands that lost someone and will seek revenge in the future, they are extremists. It will be worse than a bunch of guys on airplanes.

The most corrupt ever...his legacy will bring about changes in the election process...never again!
In 10 - 50 years the crap he has been able to buy out of public record will be uncovered and revealed and the public will be horrified that such a person were ever elected!

Considering Liberal Professors and Liberal Academics, write most of the history books...I fear it will be negative and skewed.
If done by a non-partisan non-biased group, he will go down as a Strong, Energetic, Stick to his guns President. Maybe not the best ever, but definately the best we have seen in a while.
He will be credited with an un popular ( which was popular untill Libs started Flip-Flopping) war that tore into terrorism and freed a opressed people.

They will say that he didn't listen to his advisors and that he got us into a war that is not accomplishing much of anything and that he drove the price of oil way way up and that he did not try to find alternative energy. They will say he gave a bad name to the Republican party and helped the Democratic party rise again.

He is one of those controversial Presidents, not totally bad but not totally good. His handling of the Iraq War was not as efficient as it could have been. However, Bush was a firm president. I think history will appreciate that he did stand up to terrorism from the beginning and that he did not lose will, even when many other politicians did.
