I don't think Italian shoes are that comfortable, but it depends on your foot. Most of the designers like Prada and Gucci run very narrow and the insoles are not great; however, they look very nice and they last forever. Good shoes are certainly an investment because they never go out of style and can be easily be repaired.
My favorite brand of shoes are actually Spanish. They're called Camper. They have a few stores and you can order online. The shoes are the most comfortable shoes and very well made.
