It sounds like you are in India from your use of the terms "cousin brother." If that is the case than I think the answer is that "cross-cousins" can and do marry all the time. A cross-cousin means that a guy can marry his mother's brother's daughter or his father's sister's daughter but he cannot marry his mother's sister's daughter or his father's brother's daughter. Is that clear? I know in the west we feel that it will lead to all sorts of genetic problems but his cross counsin concept seems to work because people do marry their cousins all the time in Indian and you don't see the genetic problems you would expect to see.

probable the wonderful question on right here this week - staggering. The purple wine has no longer relatively have been given the greater advantageous of me -yet! I see precisely the place you're coming from, yet I do bear in mind the version packing containers finished for GCSE technology. whether male twin A married woman twin B and brother twin A married sister twin B their offspring might nevertheless have sufficient version to no longer be seen siblings. they may be cousins yet there's a risk that the dad and mom ought to grant start to close to same offspring. on the different hand, they could tick all the different packing containers and be very diverse. an exceedingly exciting question. wish I had seen it!!

Brothers and sisters may NOT marry. First cousins may marry in some states, and second cousins may marry in 34 states.
"No European country prohibits marriage between first cousins. It is also legal throughout Canada and Mexico to marry your cousin. The U.S. is the only western country with cousin marriage restrictions."
"Children of non-related couples have a 2-3% risk of birth defects, as opposed to first cousins having a 4-6% risk."

Dude!!!!! Really!!! Did the two of you just meet? Or have you hung out for years? Did you just fall head over heels for her? Because if you knew she was your (sister/cousin) you probably never would have went to that state of mind. Wow. I can't even begin to imagine. I can't even forget about my brother slugging me in the belly @ age 8, not that, that should have happened , but that is the way we got along. And my cousin????? Well, heck NO!!!!! That is where you go to get away from your brother, but only to start another mess. It is not suppose to be good enough to fell goosheey about eachother. It should always be enough on edge that you don't think about sleeping with one another. Please.... Rethink /........ NOT Good.... Think about your children ... And your childrens, children......Anyway...If any constulation, my husbands grandparents were first cousins, and they had five children and they all came out allright. A little bit of bad attitudes, but then again they're Portugese.... But still, the family still talks and makes jokes about 'em... But it's all you man... Best regards...

This needs to be clarified. If you are talking about FIRST cousins (the children of your parents' brothers and sisters), you cannot marry because your children might have many birth defects. You are too close genetically. However, 2nd and 3rd cousins can marry legally.

It is illegal to marry any close relative and that includes cousins. Offspring of the union usually ends badly. The worst of the genetic code is combined.

no. this is why they have blood tests, except in elkton maryland, marriage capital of the world, there are so many churches it's insane, because they don't require blood tests before marriage. so they better come here (yes it is sad i live in elkton) otherwise they won't be able to.
i don't know why they would want to anyway. the children would end up messed up in some way.

Are you from West Virginia or something? Not unless you want your family tree to have no branches. Haven't you ever seen Deliverance or Wrong Turn?

Nope - illegal and if they have children there is a high probability of genetic trouble.
