Has anyone taken either or both of the above. Any benefits found, or any side effects? Thank you.

I LOVE ALOE. I take 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) a half of an hour before I eat and it really helps my digestion. I recommend the Aloe Life brand. It costs more but is very potent and hasn't been heated to high temperatures like the less expensive brands.

Echinacea has 'touch wood' prevented me getting a cold for a year - taking 1 tablet a day. Aloe Vera is very good for IBS and I did use it for a while when I was getting attacks - and I don't get them anymore. Haven't had any side effects from them apart from the fact they are fairly expensive!

I have used aloe vera for many years for all sorts of things. It has many therapeutic properties and can be used internally (for digestive disorders, etc.) and externally to repair cuts, burns, sun burn, etc. Excellent stuff!!
I have also used echinacea and have found that I no longer get colds and stuff as it boosts the immune system and helps to prevent such things. It takes a couple of weeks to kick in so it probably wouldn't get rid of a cold for you but would certainly help the body to recover and strengthen the immune system.
Neither has any adverse side effects.
I hope you decide to use both as they are very good.

Hope this helped.

Aloe vera is believed to heal, sooth and protect. We have an aloe vera plant and is great as a natural healer of cuts, burns, spots etc.

Echinacea is said to boost your immune system, which can stave away colds etc.

No side effects from Aloe Vera (that i know of). Echinacea; not sure - i would advise you to go to a health store etc.

hope this helps

Hello,

(ANS) Aloe Vera is superb, it has a VERY long track record and has been know and used safely for literally thousands of years. As a healer I highly recommend Aloe Vera juice as part of a healing stratergy when people have disgestive disorders such as colitis, or proctitis, or ulcerative colitis. It has extra ordinary healing properties with no side effects and can be used in some many varied ways.

**Sorry! I dont like homeopathy very much, I've tried it several times and it doesnt work for me. I have tried echinacea once or twice but didnt have any benefitical effect's for me. I only recommend those products or substances that I know for certain from my own experience do work.

Hope thats useful?

I've used echinacea in its liquid form (you add a few drops to water) when I had a chesty cold and it has worked on both occasions i.e. the cold has gone. There weren't any side effects but whether or not I'd have shaken the cold anyway I'll never know.

However as the royal doctor to Queen Victoria once said;

If you use medication to treat a cold you'll be over it in two weeks.
If you take nothing it'll last a fortnight!!!

Aloe vera is commonly taken to coat your throat.By coating your throat,it reduces acid reflex.Echinacea builds up your immune system to help shorten the duration of a cold or flu.Echinacea is only effective if you take it on the first day you feel sick, and stop use after two weeks.Your body can become immune to it if you take it continuously.Yes, I have taken both, and they both work.

Not all aloe and ichinacea products are alike. Beware of products that don't have GMP's, good manufacturing practices.

See this Flash to teach you what to look for as over ninety percent of supplements manufactured are full of fillers and binders that do not have what the label claims: http://www.GlycoStory.com/presentation.asp?s=515&u=131
