or underclass? peasants? poor people?
why has this become so popular to make fun of these people?
Are they being generalised to all poor people , under class, are Chavs or stupid peasant people.
Just curious? Maybe people feel better about themselves by making fun of people who grew up in poor neighborhoods. East Enders and such.

not really, Jade Goody is worth 8million apparently and Daniella Westbrooke and the kind of girls like that are all wealthy but are still chavs.
It's not a class thing.

i was brought up in a poor area, my mum never had any spare cash, i always had my sisters hand me down clothes, never went on school trips etc, but the moment i turned 16, i got a full time job,moved out of home and never looked back, now i have a good job, and nice house, i saw the way mum struggled and i would do anything not to end up like that, determination and a little hard work is all it takes.
I know people who have a baby every year, live off the social and are skint, i look at what i have achieved and feel proud, i could have been like that, i suppose if mum wasn't skint i could have been like it, but not all kids from council estates end up as chavs, they are the only ones who can do something about it, if they want to sit wasting their life...fine, but i'm not

Nobody should ever make fun of the under privliged. Its an absolute sin to do so. Many of us who have a good life are just lucky. It could very well be you and me that have nothing.. Most working people are just a pay check away from proverty anyway..
