The CelebBigBrother debacle continues with Jade being accused as a racist, but no mention of Jermaine Jackson's "white trash" comment.
It seems that the term 'racist crime' is used where a white person commits a crime against a black person, then it is banded about freely. But what about the reverse?
Earlier last year, in the UK, a young white girl was tortured, raped and murdered by four young black men (all found guilty). This case was in the papers for two weeks and yet AT NO TIME was the term 'racist crime' used. Now imagine the reverse: four white boys do that to a young black girl. You'd have to cover your ears to drown out the screeches of "racist crime" that would be screamed.
I'm sure there's plenty more examples but I offer these comments to get your views. Does 'racism' work both ways, or is it only a one-way street?

I have heard of examples of attacks made by black people against white people and it being called in the news a racist crime. It does work both ways it's just that sometimes people are more sensitive to it one way or the other, hence positive discrimination. I'm sure that at some point, if not still, the S.African Rugby team had to have at least 6 black players, now I'd say that that was discrimination, bad discrimination if some of the black players weren't as good as the white players. Sure it gets rid of the syptoms, that not enough black players are in the team, but not the causes.

it seems racism is a one-way street, it's only racist if the person committing the crime is white. Other ethnics on other races is swept under the carpet. You only have to read the newspapers when there's a mugging, if it's white on black, asian or green and purple it's never a straight mugging it's a racially motivated attack. If it's a mugging on a white person it stays just a mugging.

It does work both ways but since white people don't shout about racism against them it never comes to anything.

I've been the victim of a racist attack but so what, I didn't go to the police saying it was a racist attack - I just said I'd been attacked. Had it have been the other way around I don't know for sure what the police would have been told; forgive any ignorance I may have.

YES.

True Racism does exist, but being called a racist is also just par for the course for anyone who wins an argument with a liberal.

Every liberal, commie in the world has a hissy-fit if a white male has any pride at all. -But, they'll play Snoop Dogg all night and feel "hip."

The fact is people are different. Whether this matters at all may be debated, but to say countries founded by white folks have different customs than countries founded by black folks would be a true statement.

Can some blacks appreciate white culture? Yes. Can some whites appreciate black culture? Yes -But the fact remains; even after mandatory desegregation blacks and whites CHOOSE to live among their own. Milwaukee is a great example of voluntary segregation.

Can blacks and whites live together with one culture? Yes, to a limited extent. I say "limited" because NEVER in any society, in any country, in the history of Earth have blacks and whites shared a peaceful, successful existence. Name one?

Many crime, disease and SAT statistics can be sighted to show the difference between races.

American Nationalism is merely recognition of American culture and its origins.

Liberals are greatly hypocritical when they howl about the nationalism of Americans, while staying completely silent about the nationalism of South Africa or the Congo where whites are being hacked to death with machetes.

This shows a clear traitor-mentality. The fact is blacks have pride, whites have pride and so do Hispanics. We are ALL different. All minorities have their home countries, but everyone howls racism if anyone mentions a homeland for whites.

We have the ability to accept another’s culture, but only at the expense of our own.

Racism is about hate, not pride in ones self. Having pride in your race is honorable. Liberals will never get this.

Liberals think black-power is cool and white-power is evil, this shows their hypocrisy. When directly CONFRONTED about this hypocrisy they will back off. -But they will never, ever defend a white, male for having pride in his race regardless of how he feels about other races.

When black athletes gave the "black-power" symbol in Mexico City during the Olympics it raised no objections by ANY liberals.

This is their idea of being "politically-correct." A white doing the same would be "racism."

American Nationalism is about American culture.

This society is a society that focuses on race. It's not right, but that's just how it is. It's not just crime, it's everything. You can take your chances of getting a job. There was a study that showed that a person with a "black name' is more than likely to not get a job as a person with a "white name." As long as society focuses on race, then there will always be things to complain about. To be honest, blacks have a lot more problems to deal with than whites. Whether it's from stereotypes, treatment from other races or blacks themselves, many blacks are raised in a society where they are seen as black people, not just people no matter how many people claim to be color blind. So no, racism isn't one-sided, it is just in different forms on different sides.

Racism is wrong regardless of which race is the victim and which is the perptrator. The fact that the media highlights the'easier' option for their own benefit is irrelevant. Their immediate aggenda is to make money, not to take reponsability for the improvement of society. That responsability rests with you.

Jermaine Jackson never called any body white trash he said-

She's a star so she has a following and a fan base her mother doesn't, she does not care and I dont want to, go like this, it was reffered to her, they bought up the word white trash and I dont want to bring that up, and I wouldn't call her that because shes a human being.

How is that racist? And if you lie about that your lie about anything.

Yes - it does only work one way, I'm afraid!
Mainly because 'white' people don't make as big a fuss, probably because we are more tolerant!
The media as a whole is dominated by a 'slanted' view of nearly every situation anyway.
I think Britain has turned into a country dominated by 'foreigners' for 'foreigners', what else can you expect!
