Beeps can mean BIOS error codes. Most common is for RAM. The error codes depend on your BIOS manufacturer. This is too complex for a normal person to handle esp if its a laptop. Take it down to a store.

your computer might be overheating or if you dont have a mouse plugged in it could do that. as stated above with things restion on the keyboard.
There should be 1 beep on start up that tells you the BIOS is working properly.

b more descriptive,
if it beeps only and not opening then u got a RAM problem.
u just have to re-insert ur RAM in ur CPU.
if it opens and beeps then may b one of your keyboard's key is scrapped and it got 'sitted' on the board, try to make it 'stand'.

Is anything resting on the keyboard? If it is, remove it. If there isn't, disconnect the keyboard from the PC.
