In September I had the privilege of attending the wedding of two women friends. I know you’re all gonna ask so yes they both wore white gowns.

The ceremony was on Cape Cod, MA it was an awesome day (you would’t believe what they had to pay for that weather) the brides were gorgeous the ceremony was beautiful and the reception, quite the party.

Here’s the question: I believe that marriage is a commitment between two people that love each other and are ready to share their lives together, and that in the eye’s of the state anything as defined above should be considered a civil union, so, man woman, man man, woman man, woman woman, in the eye’s of the state are all exactly the same thing.

Yes, no, other ideas?

I agree. Although I must say that some people on here have pointed out that marriage and a civil union are two different things. I don't know one way or the other, but if people want to be married, they should have the right to do so and have rights equal to traditional marriage.

I agree. Everyone should be equal under the law.

I have yet to figure out why I should care if a man is attracted to another man or a woman to another woman. Someone being gay doesn't affect me in any way so why should I worry about what they do in their own home with other consenting adults?

I think it is great. All the same, when ever I see two guys or two girls holding hands I always take a longer look..like a moment of confusion.
And then the light bulb goes flicks on.
Love is love. The government should support it, not dictate in what form love should be displayed.
