Try this:
Difficulty: Medium
↓ Re-Boot your PC
↓ Keep tapping F12 (Sometimes f8 is older models)
↓ Wait into the screen asks you which mode to launch in
↓ Select Start Windows in Safe Mode
↓ When the profiles come up select Admin
↓ Hopefully no password will be asked for - If one is asked for type in administrator
While in safe mode go to user accounts and remove all passwords..
If thid does not work delete your old account and make a new one.
I really hope this works... and that my knowledge is correct as I am running this of the top of my head.

Go to the login screen and press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice and then enter your name as Administrator and no password, Then the computer may accept it. But since its Acer branded it may not work.>Give it a try. Other than that there is no easy way to recover a lost pass. The next time you assign a password make yourself a password reset disk and stash it somewhere safe. Its funny this is the second time im answering this question in 5 min.

If you're using Windows XP, when you get to the Welcome Screen and see your user name, press Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the Windows 2000 type of login screen, then type in Administrator with no password. If this gets you into the Desktop for the Administrator, then go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, User Accounts and click on your User Account and do a Change Account, Change Password. After changing your password, reboot your system and try logging in with your username and new password. If you need further assistance please let me know.

First answer is incorrect. This more of a crapping approach.
I think you can contact the Computer's Support and ask. They may charge you money to tell you what to do.
I not sure how a Password is stored. It may be on the Hard Drive or it could be in a CMOS on the Motherboard. If, it in the Hard Drive you may try a Reinstall of the OS. Not real sure it work, but, it may be free to try.
I would know more, but, that information is on another computer I have and I not remember the password to get in. :-p

I believe if you start up in safe mode you can sometimes bypass certain passwords. There is a key combination or something which allows you to start in safe mode. Try looking up 'safe mode' on the Internet and see what you can find.
