Farms are absolutely full of old shite.

At one farm I go to, there is a wood a few metres off to the side of one of the tracks (only short, about 5 minutes to walk along). In the long grass between the track and the wood there are:

2 completely rotting roofless mobile toilet units/caravans, a big pile of wood, a collection of Rosemary roof tiles, several old rusty pig feeders, a rusty 1950s style pram, various bits of chain and metal just rusting away, an old harrow that hasn't been moved for 3 years, and a big stash of rotting cardboard boxes. This is quite a big successful farm that runs a big tourist/school programme and this track is off the public areas.

Every farm is like this. Poke around the back of the buildings and you'll be amazed what you'll find. When I was a kid I used to go to a farm that had an opensided shed/barn building that just had several thousand plastic soap dishes dumped on the ground. Most were broken.

Yea, it always seems to be the case these days, doesn't it. It isn't REQUIRED... but it does give the farm the dirty, rugged impression, does it not? I personally think it is a waste of scrap metal and lawn space!
