Why do so many people judge people based on their appearance instead of what is in the inside? It seems that people will be more concerned with how their hair or skin looks instead of how much of a good person they are. Im just so sick of people who judge others by appearance. I used to have a very low self esteem in the way i look but now im proud of the beautiful person i am in the inside. It is so important to remember that we are NOT our hair, we are NOT our skin, We are the soal that lives within.

I agree with you. Unfortunately how we look is the first thing that people see. Depending upon the maturity of the person, it either doesn't matter or it's the whole thing. I personally am more concerned with a person's personality. Looks fade, but your character is forever.

Wow that brings me back to when I was a teen n when your so in love well even now. When your in love with someone well when I am I don't see there looks cuz all I know is when I look back at the pictures I have of my exes in school n I use to think they where the most gorgeous person on earth n then after we weren't together they where most ugly cuz there personality changed and made them ugly.I feel the same as u though.Unfortunately people r like that .Me personally I don't and I think it was bcuz I was heavy when growing up so all I felt I had was my personality n it was awful cuz people would judge me cuz of my weight n where really mean.I luv it now cuz those people I wouldn't bother with now if I seen them again.I teach my kids the same n they refer to people as people not that ugly girl or ugly guy or white girl or chinese guy that when they refer to someone they do by there name or by saying that person n if I hear otherwise they get in big trouble n that's the way it should b.

I learned the other day we all have a Primal "prejudice" instinct, for self-preservation. If our mind detects anger or such on a person's face, we automatically go into a defensive mode.
Having Vulcan eyebrows, many immediately percieve me as
angry or trying to be superior! And they give me questioning looks, make disgusted faces, look away, and even get quite HOSTILE!
I met a man in Nashville that I didn't care for. I thought he was always giving me a funny look. After I got closer I realized
he had a bad eye. That's why he was giving me a funny look. And he turned out to be a nice man.
Ever noticed how some peoples glasses make their eyes look bigger than they really are? Did you know some glasses make peoples eyes look smaller than they really are? Beady like, untrustworthy?
I think that's really why people are put off by me!

Yes but - how we look does reflect on who we are. People who take care of their appearance probably take care of the other matters in their lives too. But people who present themselves as dirty or sloppy, are probably sloppy in other things too - so it's not a perfect measure, but it's usually more right than wrong.

It is not your hair. It is the way people present themselves and dress. From those to look like trash to those that look like they want to be in other groups of people than who they are. You know the kids that want to be a redneck and those that want to be a gangster from the hood.

Picture this scenario: You're walking alomg the street and you see this totally repulsive dude/chick dressed in rags lying in the gutter and puking all over himself/herself. The next person you see just happens to be your ideal man/woman. Which one would you like to go out with.....
