If not all of the wax came out try iron with waxed paper. Just put the waxed paper over the area and iron it for a minute or so on low, the wax will come right up.
If all the wax is gone, try Oxy Clean. I've had soo many times when I've used this and it works every time. Just spray the area and if necessary rub with cleaning cloth, let sit to dry or vacuum excess off surface.
Hope this works for you!

Ok, my mom spilled RED candle wax on brand-new off-white carpet about 3 years ago...ouch! She did the warm iron with paper towels until nothing else got onto the towels-which did a good job, but the color was still there. She then got a product called Wax Away, by a company called Weiman. I believe she got it at Michael's Arts and Crafts. 3 years later and the stain has not resurfaced! Hope this helps!

Try placing an ice cube on the wax. As the ice cube melts, it loosen the wax. Getting wax out of carpet is the same as getting gum out of hair. However, some of the remedies that work for getting gum out of hair may ruin the carpet. If you want to try them, just be extra careful. Putting peatnut butter on the wax may help loosen the wax. Maybe try products with a clear oil, like vegetable oil. Cut the wax out of the carpet.

Try the iron method again with plain white paper towels instead. They seem to be more absorbent than newspaper. I used the iron and paper towels method for red wax on a beige carpet and was very successful. Good luck.

It will take something with an oil remover to get rid of the stain. Sounds like all the wax came out, which you removed correctly, but the dye has made the stain.
Try some lestoil.

Put an ice cube on the spot for a while and it will pop right off. This also works if you get tired of a candle in a container and want to change candles. Put it in the freezer and it will pop right out.
