Because there was a war on, I guess they had more important things to woory about than going sight seeing

I The Country of France was Occupied by Germany from June, 1940 to August ,1944.

2. The BEF In France in 1939-40 was to far from Paris and they wanted to visit England more.

I notice the French have now painted the tank on the front at Arromanche in Free French colours; used to have an American star on it,which was daft as Arromanche was a British/Canadian beach (Pole too i think?). Least it was when my dad ran up it at 6.30 am June 6 44
