I would think that you may need reading glasses. I would go to an optometrist though. Some blurred vision is caused by an astigmatism that cannot be corrected with pharmacy reading glasses.

A good check for if you need reading glasses is if the print becomes easier to read if you hold it away from you.

It always amazes me with the answers people can give that are so ridiculous. . . tells me they are only guessing.
If you had astigmatism you probably would have been diagnosed before now and it's only a correctable visual situation just as any other that needs glasses for correction. People diagnose astigmatism as though it's a disease from Mars.
And this resting your eyes diagnoses sounds good but is really a silly and won't help the problem you speak of.
I would be willing to bet you that your are either approaching the age of 40 or are past it by only a very few years.
Whether we wear glasses or not,by the time we reach the age of approx. 40,our ability to focus is becoming harder due to the changes in the lens of our eyes and this is most noticeable with our reading vision.
I would suggest that you have your eyes checked but all in all,you probably only need reading glasses.
After your eye exam, you can read the prescription the Dr gives you and go to your local pharmacy and get a pair of the over the counter readers that are the same as your prescription written by the Dr. . . . otherwise you are going to have to be buying a pair of readers from an eye glasses place that cost about $95.00 more than those at the Pharmacy.
Now if the Dr also gives you a prescription for distance visual changes as well, you WILL have to have those filled by a regular eye glasses place.

Good Luck and welcome to the getting older set.

Have an eye exam !!! Have a physical by a Dr.
first, then they will probably send you to an eye
Dr. Ophthalmologist or Optometrist to treat you.
Blirred vision is usually a need for glasses, but there are other conditions the blurred vision can be a symptom of.

Possibly. But you do need to have an eye exam, and if you do need glasses, that exam will allow your optometrist or ophthalmologist to prescribe the right ones for you.

Yes, you probably do need glasses. And meanwhile you can try resting your eyes more often if you're reading or writing for long periods of time.

Good luck!
