because it's always "okay" to bad talk the white people but as soon as you make a black comment you are a horrible person!

that's the way it's always going to be!

if you throw around the N word expect to be in trouble, call a white person any name you want and no one gives a ****..

Hiya, thanks for the question,
this has been troubling me for some time now.
Jade, her Mother, Jack , Danielle & Jo are all from working class backgrounds.
Jermaine, Cleo, Dirk, Shilpur and Ian are not ...

Two very distinctive, differnt types of people in the BB house. Some have more education than others, some have had the benifit of growing up in better areas than others, they move in different circles of culture and friends. I am really bothered by what is happening in the News.

In previous BB's we have witnessed people taking the mick out of eachother either in jest or with malice, the first thing people as a society pick on is accents, then size, intelligence then colour or culture.

I am educated and have been made fun of because of my accent, black, white, indian, welsh american people alike. For the most part i take it in the manner in which it was meant....in jest. However, if i am low, i am affected by some of these remarks. Is this because these people are prejudiced or is it because i am feeling low and suseptable to these remarks because of my own emotions.

Unless we are all very well educated, and privilaged and fortunate enough not be be affected by one group or another and well trained in how to be PC then i'm sure we could get through life pretty much unscathed without being accused of very much, with the exception of not being geniune real people.

What is the answer???? There isn't one. People say awful things when they are threatend, belittled, patronised, looked down on, bullied, hurt, angry....

Jade is intimidating because of her life and the way she has been treated by others, not to metion the way she was brought up. I don't particularly like her but i don't think she deserves the kind of hatred that has been spread either. She is defensive for a reason. She does not have the education Shilpur has received. Her mother was slated for saying 'The Indian woman' instead of pronouncing Shilpur's name. What if she had said 'The Pretty one' 'The snobby one' 'The clever one' would she have received such distain???? I think not.

I think the reason Jermain didn't receive the same kind of disgust as Jade is because of his very reputation alone, not to mention that although his remarks were hurtful, people accepted what he said as true, because Jade and her mother don't seem to deserve the kind of respect he has. Society as a whole is constantly looking for one up manship. Some dislike Jade for her sucess, with the attitude of Why should someone like her have the attention and fame and sucess she has, when many people consider themselves hard working, honest, educated and are very put out they they have done everything they can to be sucessful and got nowhere, where as Jade was just some council daughter on a tv show and is now a multimilloinaire.

What has been said in that house is not nice, but the blame should not lie solely at Jades feet. Shilpur, has treated her in a condescending manner, Jermain has manipulated and stirred the situation up in a very sly manner, he is terribly underhanded and constantly making remarks which seem to go unoticed and unaddressed.

I am disgusted at the government reaction to this situation. Jade speaks no more for British as a whole than Shilpur speaks for India or Jermain and Dirk for the USA or Ian for the Gay community They are none of them royalty or MP's, they do not represent their nations, it would be a pretty poor show if they did. No one would open their mouths for fear of saying the wrong thing.

Jermaine's comment has been constantly taken out of context. he said 'in America there are people like this that appear on the Jerry Springer show. We call them white trash'. it was not made specifically about the Goody family. it was one remark, compared to days and days of worse comments made by Jade Goody and her accomplices. I don't know anyone white who watches Jerry Springer and actually doesn't feel the same at times
And as for sympathy because of her hard life, many of us have had similar or worse backgrounds, it doesn't mean we all use that as an excuse to taunt and humiliate others. Jo is supposed to have been bullied, and even made a suicide attempt. In many ways that makes her participation in this even worse because she of all people should know how it feels to be singled out and bullied.
All three of them are disgraceful people, and I have no sympathy for any of them

When Carole was in the BB house she refereed to the Goody family as substandard people. And she said this to Jermaine. To me it kind of means the same thing. Was she being racist?

MissBri - I find the N word extremely offensive and have never called anyone white trash in my life as I also find it offensive. If I were Indian, I would also find being called poppadom offensive too!!

We should all be accountable for what comes out of our mouths!!

I agree with Jon and June. She is a very mixed up girl. It brought tears to me when I read about her life she has been through as a child, also her dad passing away. No wonder the girl is full of anger because he died recently. I know what it is like losing a parent, I have been in the same boat.
