Recently I changed to Internet Explorer 7. Its been a problem ever since. Continuous lock ups, error reporting...and problems getting to sites that weren't a problem with Internet Explorer 6. I've rolled back to Internet Explorer 6..no problems..but a friend of mine says I might have some "security" problems...Can anyone help me out here? Are Firefox or Mozilla better browsers? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. I am so tired of the lock ups. I have a good spyware program. When I run a scan..2 things come up..2 cookies...questionmarket.com and doubleclick.com...harmless cookies..so I know its not the spyware...Like I said..any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Your answers are great so far..except one...I'm not asking whether yours works or not...I'm trying to find out from those of you that are having problems with IE7 and What you've tried to do to fix it.

IE7 does have problems. Since you have reverted back to IE6, just make sure you have all Microsoft updates, as the most recent ones fix the "security holes" in Internet Explorer.

Doubleclick and questionmarket are both notorious spyware, and are not "harmless cookies.". If you were running SpyBot, it would have found them by now. SpyBot immunizes your computer against over 15,000 known pieces of spyware; the above are just two of them.

I havn't really liked Internet Explorer 7 either... I have been having the same problems... I installed some windows updates from "Windows Live OneCare", and then everything worked better. If you don't have Windows Live OneCare, you could try to find updates on the internet. If that still doesn't work, then I would recommend switching to Mozzila Firefox. Mozzila Firefox is great... no pop-ups or ads, acctually. You can get firefox at:

Good day. Yes Internet Explorer 7 still has bugs big time. I suggest Mozilla Firefox. Safer browsing and easy to update:

If u a little uneasy about security. Download windows Defender:

I haven't had any probs and I love it.....u might have too much virus and spyware protection.... u only need one good one and your windows protection. Symantec(Norton complete protection) is best.......... I have 4 computers that I am in control of and none have any issues with the explorer 7....... good luck.

I would recommend using Firefox. It has many skins and plug-ins that help you browse the web, and also has a lot of security plug-ins to mkae sure there are no problems.
