Let's see 40,000 Americans die each year from traffic accidents.
3,000 Americans died during 3 years fighting Islamic extremists, who want to kill us.
Sounds a bit hypocritical to protest the war on grounds that too much life is being lost.

I think so because We are getting out of or trying to get out of these current wars. It isn't until then when we start outing the death toll numbers. I think Romney would also find some way to pin the bad news about the war on Obama. I don't know why republicans spend a large amount of their time blaming others and opposite parties. Whether Republican or Democrat they should spend their time addressing issues and solving or trying to solve problems.

I don't blame the media for their deaths. What's the problem? That they are saying it, or that americans are actually dying everyday for a war with no clear plan? And I hear on my news channels everyday about traffic deaths. How many republicans are going to block funding for the war? Last count I had was 8, and counting...

Our neo-lib whatever you said, does it nightly. It is called the ABC ambulance news. Hasn't changed a thing.
Alright Zarl, alright. Good one, He will be gone in two years, then the next person can be responsible for global warming, hurricanes, dead african generals, why my car won't start, etc.

Setting anything in context removes the sensationalism from it. No sensationalism means fewer viewers. The media is an industry it can no longer be trusted as a reliable information source. When the first goal is ratings do you really think they will be interested in facts?

30,000 men fell in the first 30 minutes of the Battle of the Marne in 1914. 60 K by day's end. We would have surrender to the Germans in 1914 with the lib press.

Even less people died on 9/11.
Maybe we should pull funding from the entire war on terror.
