female sex tourism involves women going on holiday to places such as Jamaica with the purpose of having sex with local men in exchange for gifts, is this any different then men going to places like Thailand and paying local women for sex?

I'm not sure it's exactly the same, you do have a good point though. The main difference is that the woman are often hoping for love and continuation of the relationship.Men are more business like about it.They want uncomplicated sex and are happy to pay for it.They are under no illusions that the girls care about them!

I've read about male sex tourism, and I will admit this is the first time I've heard of female sex tourism, though I have no doubt it exists. So, you will have forgive my ignorance on the one topic. from what I understand, male sex tourism, often to Asian countries, is basically slavery. Many of these "women" are children, as young as eleven, since "virgins" are desirable, (though, of course, they are not "virgins," just pawned off as such). They live in brothels, are paid very little, if at all, and cannot escape. Often, their families have sold them because of dire poverty. I cannot knowledgeably speak about female sex tourism, but because, as you said, it is often Europe or the Caribbean that is most frequented, I would imagine the issue of "slavery" is not an issue at all, but something the men are willingly participating in. If your understanding of the issue is different, I would be interested to know. So, I think the difference in perception lies mostly with people's perceptions of the male "sex tourism" industry, and that it is little better than slavery, whereas very little is known in general about female sex tourism. "Chinkus"-"prostitution" is male sexual assault? So, conversely, when men are the prostitutes it is female sexual assault?

same thing! Women are a lot more picky then men. I doubt very much they are flying anywhere to get layed. If a women wants to get layed all she has to do is raise her hand. There'll be a line in a matter is seconds. Men will do anything walking up-right.

Ust a new name for the same old thing. If that is what the woman wants to do then she should do it. I do think they could have a little more respect for themselves. I know many people who will write letters to just about anyone to get them to bring them to the USA. I guess when jobs are hard to get and you need to eat you will do about anything for money.

Sex for anything but, love is prostitution. Your selling yourself short for any other means.
