i am working on writing an essay in my l.a. class. our topic is to write about a role model and i am writing about my grnadma. i am on the second papragraph (body paragraph) and i am trying to introduce the topic of the paragraph which is, *my grandma is a very fun person to be around* how do i make that sentence more exciting and make the reader want to keep going?

HELP!! thanks so much

Joyfulness, love and wisdom, along with an insatiable thirst for fun-loving adventures are but some of the qualities to be found within my grandmother's highly spirited character.

Of course, not knowing your grandmother, or your grade level, this is next to impossible to state. To improve your use of language, invest in an excellent dictionary and thesaurus (this is a book which will provide alternative words with similar definitions--known as synonyms, that you can employ to give your writing and speaking a richer, more varied quality. Roget's Thesaurus--the hardcover edition is wonderful.

Developing a strong command of language and writing skills will help you in achieving success in all aspects of life.

Study in earnest, enjoy your education and remember--always be open minded and willing to learn something new.

Maybe you could write: "You'll never believe a funny thing that my grandma did! She did ...... She is such a fun person to be around." Or maybe you could say, "I hardly believed the fun thing my grandma did! She ..... " Or you could even say "I still can't get over the shock of the fun thing my grandma did. She ...." Well, you get the idea. Hope I helped a little. Good luck with your essay!
