Steve Dahl killed it. His disco demolition party at a Chicago White Sox game late summer 1979 killed disco. And musical evolution killed disco. The public and their musical tastes change.

every music genre gets boring after awhile and some other style takes over. Thats the evolution of music but every so many years it returns in some way or the other.
