I think pride is missing in our society and what do you think No one feels like they belong anywhere.

And just how is society going to bring about a resurgence of marriage? Through legislation? Can't be done. The entire fabric of society has changed and yes, we live in a world where people are more alienated. However, people have the right to live as they chose and obviously they are not choosing to live in family units. This country is about freedom not forced institutions.

Marriage and the family unit have never gone away. What has happened is that America has accumulated a great deal of power. Lord Acton once wrote that "power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

What's missing is not pride, but humility.
