This has been a topic of discussion amongst phans since the movie released. If you look at the subtitles during the auction scene, the woman is addressed as "Madame Giry". The term Madame is applied only to married women. If it were Meg, as I assume it is supposed to be, she could not be called Madame and still keep her last name of Giry (once she married she would have her husband's last name). So, it's a paradox, but as far as anyone can guess, the woman is Meg Giry, grown up, married, and probably already widowed, but the name "Giry" had to remain so viewers would know who she was and how she knew Raoul deChagny.

The blond girl's mother (that is, Mme Giry) would have been way too old to be still alive. It is, in fact, the blonde herself, her name is Meg.
