I'm 23, and I take the pill with strict discipline, I have never ever missed a single pill in over 2 years now. But lately my periods are getting shorter. Sometimes it lasts 5 to 6 days which is the normal span, 4 days, which is acceptable, 3 which is ok, but this last period only lasted almost 1 1/2 days. It was normal flow but not really heavy. I'm used to having normal periods. What could this be? Could I be pregnant? Has anyone heard of someone who got their periods every 28 days, been on the pill and still gotten pregnant? Serious question please don't write things that do not contribute. Thanks

Yes, people are know to get pregnant on the pill.Every contraceptive has a chance that you may become pregnant, that is true. But my period stay on sometimes 2,or 3 days.I don't have a long period at all. yes mine come on every 28 days. Sometimes strees can cause you to have short periods also. You need to go to your regular healthcare provider and seek more information, and tell them what happened.

Could be breakthru bleeding, could be your body is changing and you need a lower/higher dose of bc pills. I doubt your pregnant but with the pills alot happens, i just got off a 2 week period so i switched. hi, no I don't think you are pregnant, and if you were, bleeding caused abortion. anyway if you had regular period just avoid intercourse between 11 and 15 day of ovulation and you will not get pregnant. take care.
