Just recently I had a virus on my computer but I just got rid of it a few months ago. But there must eb a little of it left on my computer cuz this thing called active destop is on my computer and it wont let me put backgrounds on my desktop other than colors. And ive tried everything like going to microsoft and doing what they said but none of it worked.what should i do?

You may want to disable your active desktop. This feature is on most if not all windows operating systems. You also might still have a virus on your system for any particular reason. This however might not be related to the active desktop issue. Active desktop is the background picture and overal desktop appearance. You might want to scan your system for virus anyway. I would also scan for spyware. That stuff has a lot of damaging code in it that can slow down system performance. Good luck.

I never really understood active desktop, but it's unlikely to be a virus. Just try resetting your desktop wallpaper.
