Everything he says sounds like it came out of a pep talk manual. There's a vacuousness there that's scary. They say Barack Obama has no positions, but I heard Brownback this morning, and he is a bag of every "We're moving forward", "We're going to be all we can be", "I want to teach the world to sing" clichés ever uttered.

What IS this guy, other than a bundle of transparent desire to get elected?

A lot of these long shots run just to rake in money they know they have no chance in hell of being elected...But by entering the race they raise money , and establish them selves with the winner of the primary hoping to get an appointment or maybe even the VP slot.

While he does sound corny at times and his speech is awkwardly scripted to get his phrases in, nothing he has said is as disingenuous or patently phoney as "I'm not starting a campaign, I'm starting a conversation." Miss Hillary wins for that.
