Big Fella, I never asked if anyone cared. If you don't care for the question, just move on.

I think he doesn't really care. He's still make a ton of money and has made a ton of money throughout his entire career. He's made it very clear that he's not playing for cash anymore. His intent is to win a World Series before he hangs up the cleats and he feels that settling for a lower salary with the Yanks was the best way to ensure him that opportunity. The only other team that is a legit World Series contender that might have consider bringing in Moose would have been the Mets, but were they really going to add another aging pitcher to the rotation? Who knows?!

He definitely made the right choice by re-upping with the Bombers. Pettite got a huge payday because it turned into a bidding war of sorts between Houston and the Yankees and the Yankees were willing to go above and beyond what Houston would. Plus Mussina resigned before the absolutely insane contracts really started getting shelled out. If he'd have held out for about a month he could have signed for at least $2 or $3 million more per year. It's all about timing. Just think if Moises Alou had waited another couple of weeks for Soriano and Lee to sign before he agreed with the Mets?! Crazy.

But yeah, in the end I think for Moose at this stage in his career, it's not about personal stuff like money it's about reaching the pinnacle that every player strives for and walking away from the game with a World Series ring on his hand!

let me tell you something about the moose..first off he could of got alot more money if he hit the market he choose to stay and take the offer that was on the table. hey at 38 years old an a 2 yr deal over 23 million or so.i think thats one hell of a contract if you ask me..mussina is a true team player that shows no emotion. he is a true worrier and knows how to pitch especially in key stiuations. the only thing he thinks about is winning a championship. the way the market was this year mussina definitley would of gotten a sweeter contract else where everyone knows that, but he knows whats up an he knows if he stays he will get that ring he been patientally waiting for all these years..
to answer your question : mussina doesnt mind..an yes he deserves to win a championship.

I really don't know, Mussina seems a fairly intelligent individual who probably allows his head to rule him. With that being said, Mussina signed the contract that was offered and nobody has heard him squacking, so my guess is he's probably happy to be back in pinstripes. Moose is what? 38, 39 years old? Andy is what? 34, 35? Could be the age difference that tells Mussina to be content and be happy to be making what he is.

Nac I don't really feel that he cares too much. He was hoping for the deal that he got so he could retire as a Yankee. He may get lucky this year because I think they're going all the way, Pavano or not. Pettite's addition only make us stronger and I'm sure that he looks at it that way as well. It's all about the World Series.

Probably very pissed especially since Pettite made it clear that he came to the yankees because they offered him more money then the Astros

Every year there's people getting underpaid and people getting way overpaid. I don't think Mussina really considers the matter.

He shouldn't feel too bad since Pettitte is a better pitcher and 10 million or whatever he is making is great consolation money. oooh maybe he'll get really upset and create a rift in the clubhouse and the yankees will self-destruct!!! HAH!!!

Well he is really gonna be pissed when he ends up 16-7 and Pettite ends up 11-10.

I doubt he really cares. he is more interested in getting to the series and moving closer to the 300 wins that would get him into the hall of fame.
