Thank you all for the great advice...however, I must dis-agree with every person who claims that Fox is at all "Fair and Balanced." I do love Glenn Beck on CNN, however, who is a conservative, thanks for mentioning him...I will definitely re-check out the PBS stuff too, they are great. I was thinking perhaps BBC broadcasts as well? Thanks!

Jim Lehrer (PBS) is my very favorite news anchor of all time. I honestly can’t tell which side of the political spectrum he’s on. He really tries to be fair. PBS as a network is so-so, they tend to do longer, more in-depth stories (sometimes boring, though) but, their other reporters and commentary shows go way to the left (which sounds as if it wouldn’t bother you).

PMSNBC, ABC, CBS (poor Katie, she tried!) are all so heavily biased to the left and then there’s CNN which is totally off in the leftwood land of silliness.

I refuse to even be in the same room with CNN on since they “sponsored” their little terrorist friends for giving them that assassination tape of the U.S. soldier in Iraq. Frankly, I’d rather watch Al Jazeera English than CNN (which I don't).

I know that you don’t like Fox but, I’m afraid that it’s the only place to even hear the conservative view mentioned (by conservatives themselves). Foxnews is, as they say, the least biased, but the commentators are pretty strongly conservative (which is why I like it). When I travel abroad, all I can get is CNN or BBC (on TV). The liberal biased stations allow liberal journalists to represent both the conservative and liberal view point, and it doesn’t work.

Thanks to those of you who mentioned C-Span, I’ve just turned on the Internet C-Span radio, not bad!

some human beings have an frame of mind that they are completely correct and in case you do not agree, you're completely incorrect, and challenge to threats, abuse, punishment, and so on. that is merely the way some everybody is, and a number of their clergy educate them to be that way as well. yet different human beings have an frame of mind that everybody is entitled to their own beliefs and to be dealt with with appreciate... and there are also clergy who educate and encourage that philosophy as well. So it comes all the way down to the question of even if human beings imagine that's ideal to violate the rights of others or no longer... and at the same time as they do, they actually in user-friendly words humiliate themselves and make their faith seem undesirable. The sufferer needs to easily have the flexibility to say "no, you won't be able to tell me what to do" and keep on with their beliefs. the days the position Christians would have you ever tortured or murdered ended some centuries in the past. in the present day we are free to worship as we pick. enable's achieve this. reward, Jean

The Mc Laughlin Group on Cnbc is reasonably balanced until it comes to critising Israel and the they follow the usual prominent mercenaries and Lapdogs of the the Lobby's. IE, Limbaugh/O,Reilly/Falwell/Franklin Graham/William Bennett/George will/ and a legion of others.
You will very rarely see an actual Middle easterner interviewed on Fox and on the odd occasion that they are the gloves are off with the likes of Hannity and Colmes interrupting and generally making it difficult for that person to get their point across , which is the point of the exercise. For the pro administration or Israel guests the red carpet is out and as much uninterrupted time as is needed. FAIR AND BALANCED, get real Fox news. I suggest you watch them all for a while and you will notice for yourself.

Well, it's NOT CNN. They are totally biased. I would suggest reading an online newspaper or something. Try your local news, too.

Those news shows, like CNN, MSNBC, etc., need ratings and will tell you what they think you want to hear.

Let ME know if you find a good show. I would like to know, too!

Good question!

I would say Glenn Beck, not because he is a conservative but because he is NOT trying to convince us that he is middle of the road.
You can trust those who flatly state their views instead of pretending to be "fair and balanced" and then put their own political spin on a subject.
