On the political spectrum, I fall right in the middle at moderate. When I vote I try to figure out which candidate best represents my views (e.g. not as much of an extremist as the other candidate). My question for those of you who are more liberal/republican is: When you vote for the president (assuming you know little about them) do you just pick the person representing your party, or do you actually try to figure out what they believe in?

Good ? During the primaries, I figure out how the candidates feel on the issues and vote based on that. In the general election, of course, I vote for whoever represents my party, because I want my party to win the election.

I really base my vote on what the candidate has voted for in the past. I look at their past if they have been in politics and if don't know either candidate I look to see if I like their name!lol no I will skip that area.
Dem's and rep's what does that really mean. It is just something else to fight about! Why can't we all just get along!!lol
