How long can I get to Battersea from Heathrow Airport taking the tube?

It will take you about 1.5 hours using the tube, as there is no "express train" on the Piccadilly Line. Get off at either South Kensington or Knightsbridge (depending on what part of Battersea you'll be staying in) then take a bus or taxi the rest of the way.

There is an express train to Paddington but it's a bit of a hassle to get from Paddington to Battersea. If you choose to use the Paddington Express, you would need to take the Circle Line to Earl's Court, change to the District Line and take that to South Kensington or Sloane Square, then take a bus or taxi to Battersea from there.

By far the easiest way to get to Heathrow from Battersea is to catch a train from Clapham Junction to Feltham then get the bus to the airport from directly outside the station. Journey time - about 45 minutes.

There's no tube service going to Battersea. The closest tube station to Battersea is Clapham Common on the Northern Line which is about 25-30 minutes away walking. It takes about one hour and two train changes to get from Heathrow to Clapham Common by tube. First you have to take the Piccadilly Line from Heathrow to Green Park station where you have to change to the southbound Victoria Line to Stockwell station. There, you have to change to the southbound Northern Line to Clapham Common station.
If I'm going to Battersea from Heathrow, I will try to get to Queenstown Road Battersea rail station or the Battersea Park rail station. The journey would be shorter or about the same in terms of time, but it would get you to the heart of Battersea.
To get to Queenstown Road Battersea station, you have to take the underground tube to Green Park then change to Victoria Line to Vauxhall station where you take the railroad just one station down to Battersea.
To get to Battersea Park station, you take the Piccadilly Line to Gloucester Road where you have to change to eastbound Circle or District Line to Victoria station where you take the rail down one station to Battersea Park.
Another way that involves a bus ride is to take the Piccadilly Line to Gloucester Road station where you change to Circle or District Line to Sloane Square station. From there, you take bus 137 or 452 to Battersea.
