my sister and i both have iPods. i have the new nano and she has a 30gb from '04. i want to put on some pics but the older version of iTunes doesnt carry that

the installation of the new itunes version will just upgrade the program interface, but all your music and playlist and preferences will stay there, so i think there should not be any problem upgrading your itunes version, it may even make some improvements in your ipods cause it looks for the last version of the firmware (the interface of the ipod i think) and update them.
Your old version will be replaced, but not your music nor the preferences and playlists

Don't worry about downloading the new version of iTunes.

There is a way to update your iPod with the latest version. You'll see the program pop up when you plug in your iPod.

It dosn't matter, if you update your iTunes all the features to use the old iPods will still be there and your Sister's old iPod will still be compatible with the newer version of iTunes, as well as your iPod, so it's a win win situation to update to the newer version. =)

you dont delete the previous one using fact the hot one is an improve the reason being there a hack that calls so you might downgrade itunes so the workstation thinks your attempting to try this so in basic terms improve the workstation will shelter the rest

open up itunes click help click check for updates then download it dont worry u wont loose any songs

It should just update itself. I don't think that you will lose anything.
