An interesting question brought this up. Republican or Democrat if you are voting for President. Do you vote for the best person for the job or do you just vote for who gets the nomination for their party? Also explain why you vote this way?

I started to vote when I was of legal age. My dad always took me w/him to show me how/who etc. He wasn't associated w/any particular party and that's how I choose to be too. I always listen, research etc. to each candidate and then choose the one that best fits how I feel/think on issues. Now they sometimes don't follow through but at least I choose the "best man for the job" not for what party he ran for blindly.

In FLA. you have to be registered with one of the major party's to vote in the primaries, which sucks. In the general you can pick & choose which I always have.I study the candidates and vote for who I feel is best for the job.I have to admit I'm not all ways right, but I believe ever citizen should vote.
