i do not have a garage so my truck is always in the elements but last (when i bought the truck)and and again this year if it rains/snows then gets below freezing at night i cannot get into the truck w/o my little 6" prybar.would wd40 or a silicone spray work on something like that? possibly vaseline ?anybody had this problem but me?any suggestions?ty

the spray silicone or dry lube works, at least for me it does. keep it light so yu dont end up with it on your good winter coat!!I keep a can in side door so when the weather tanks I am prepared.

Wd40 kind of works and I know this from years of trial and error. Vaseline works as well but wipe it really, really thin as that can freeze. Silicone spray works the best. Prying the door can loosen the rubber and eventually make it worse.

WD 40 the doors or shut cardboard in the door so the metal surfaces wont connect and freeze together

silicone spray is the best thing that i have tried and do this once or twice a week to keep it wet with silicon,depending on temperature.both on door and body.

I keep a can of spray deicer and it seems to help [not in the car but in the house of course]

trade it for a chevy that should fix your problem just kidding use the silicone spray it should work for you

replace the weather strip on your door..........treat your locks with a graphite type lubricant.......this should help.........but a tarp will prevent moisture from entering while the vehicle is idle.
