most midwives, doctors etc advice swimming while pregnant it is very relaxing for expectant mums especially in the later months when you are heavy and your back hurts,
water is very calming so go to the pool as much as you like.
congratulations on the baby

Unless your Doctor says you can't swimming in a pool is OK and good exercise. Pregnant women are often unbalanced since their center of gravity keeps changing as the baby gets bigger. You will have boyancy in a pool and not be clumsy so go for it. Just do not overdo it. And don't stay in too long so you get chilled. Be sure to wrap up and dry off. And unless you're sitting in the hot sun, don't stay in a wet suit for a long time. This is where the myth about infections comes from. It's not the swiming in the pool, but sitting in a wet suit that makes one suseptible to illness.
As for your due date, since it's not a perfect system and it's an approximate idea all around you are somewheres between 21 and 23 weeks pregnant.

yes it is safe to go to the pool. being in water is actually good exercise for a pregnant woman. and by the way you are 23 weeks pregnant. the reason i know is b/c you are due on the same day as me. i have a fetal growth tracker on the internet and it tells me new things about the pregnancy each week. if you want to find this site then email me and i will give it to you. hope that helped at least a little.

Yes its safe and its GREAT exercise for you also!! I spent alot of my pregnancy in pools! Just no Hot Tubs or Wave Pools.
If your due on May 20, you would be about 22-23 weeks pregnant. Have you not been going to an OB to track your pregnancy? If you check out baby gaga its a great website for weekly updates about what going on inside with the baby.
Good Luck to you!

As long as the pool isn't heated above normal body temperature and your "water" hasn't broke, you can go in the pool. Swimming is an excellent low-stress exercise for you during pregancy. Do NOT go into a hot-tub or Jacuzzi because the water is heated above normal body temperature and could be dangerous for you and your baby!

As long as your cervix has not dialted any (which I assume it hasnt since you arent due until May) its safe to swim. I swam every day when I was pregnant with my twins until I went into preterm labor and was told not to swim or sit in a bathtub.

As long as the pool is properly chlorinated, you should be fine. Just try not to over-exert yourself. Don't be more active than you're used to. And you just turned 23 weeks pregnant. You're almost done with you're 6th month, and your second trimester is almost over.

I LIVED in the pool when I was pregnant. I think the lifeguards there were concerned I was going for a "water birth." :)
