i think they did it cause they're bringing on major carter from sg-1 to atlantis.
however there was an interview with david hewlett..the guy that plays rodney and he said this..
"You know, I have the sneaking suspicion that we will be seeing McGillion again, though. The beautiful thing about scifi is that no one ever dies in scifi, so I’m curious to see how they resolve this, and I think fans should know that I personally believe that he’s going to be back. So we’ll see how season four unravels, but I look forward to see how they get themselves out of this one.”
they brought daniel back a million times they can bring back beckett!
also amanda tapping's (carter) contract is good for another year...unless they renew it. so maybe we WILL see beckett again! YAYYYY i'm hoping anyway...

he died!? omg I use to watch that show (seasons 1 and 2) but I've been so busy that I haven't seen it in like forever...omg he dies? I loved him on the show! :(
