Get 2 jobs, live very basic (clean room with hot & cold running water) and save all your $$. Soon you will have the resources to live where you want.
Note: America is a huge place with economies and people that are as different as europe.
America has inbred right wing racists, moderates and liberals. We have very poor to very rich, many illiterates and many educated.
But maybe that is why people come here ! Because there is some of every race, culture, religion and political belief here . . . slackers and hard workers, retarded & brilliant.

Sooooo, which part of the americans do you actually identify with ?

wow you seem to feel really strongly about that but i have to ask...dont you think you are being a little too hard on the british? i mean obviously you havent met everyone and it obviously seems as though you are judging people before you meet them. I am american and i can tell you first hand that not all americans are great. If you can truely say that you cannot possibly associate with those kind of people then come on over to the US!! i mean i am sure it will be hard but it sounds as though you feel very strongly about it....so good luck!!

A lot of people think that America is a great place to live and all that well its not. I have been there many many times and worked there for 6 months and it was crap. If you really don't like living in England and you really want to move somewhere else then you should move to Ireland..the worlds greatest country..god lives in Ireland. I know my name says Brits out..but that is about British occupation of the north not about normal people.

At the moment, moving may be out of your power, so try to keep the online thing going. I suggest playing a free RPG to get better aquainted with americans while keeping yourself occupied. Also try to convince mumsy to move and explain the possible benefits it will have on you. One good Rpg is here:

Are you sure it is not a question of the grass being greener on the other side? For once you go over there you may find there are problems galore there too although they may be of a different nature. Afterall, Utopia exists only in the pages of literature.
