Conditions are that you go back only to observe, not to live or change the course of history. Basically, it would be to see some event or era to determine if historians got it right. You would get to find out what really happened!

I would like to go to the antebellum south. Gosh, what a good question. No, wait. I would want to tag along and observe the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Then again, it would be nice to fly with Amelia Earhardt to see what really happened to her. What about prehistoric times to see all those dinosaurs (since I know they couldn't eat me). Or what about the White Castle district to see who Jack the Ripper really was. What a great question. Too many great answers. I would have a hard time choosing.

I would say the prehistoric era to see what happened to the dinosaurs, but I read an article from the associated press recently that they know for sure it was a meteor that killed them.

Finding out who the Mona Lisa really was would have been interesting, but then I read the news last night that they discovered who she was and found her grave!

So...either the middle ages or Biblical times when Christ was on this earth.

I would like to go back to the birth of my nation (USA) and watch and listen to the discussions and visions as the constitution and bill of rights were being developed. I would think it would be amazing to witness the hopes and fears these men had for the future of this nation, I wonder what they would have thought about how their ideas have evolved into the status of our current day government.

I would love to go back to the horse and buggy days. You know Little House on the Prairie times. I want to see if my grandparents really had to walk 10 miles to school with no shoes.

I would go back to the Rome around 44 B.C. I would love to see Julius Caesar and see for myself what happened that fateful day.
